Mary Kathrine Gallagher is played by Molly Shannon. Mary attends St. Monica's Catholic High School and lives with her crazy grandmother because her parents were killed in a step-dancing competition. Her dream is to be kissed, hollywood style. To achieve her dream she decides she must become a superstar. She is truly an outcast with a hysterically quirky personality.
Sky Corrigan is played by Will Ferrel. He is the pretty boy of the High School. He is the object of all Mary's affection, and the boyfriend of Evian. His clueless and awkward personality will crack you up.
Evian Carrie Graham is played by Elaine Hendrix. Evian is the ultimate mean girl of the high school. She and her posse of cheerleaders constantly torture Mary. Her ridiculous acts make her another comical character in the movie.
Eric Slater is played by Harland Williams. Eric is the quiet guy that nobody notices, not even Mary. He is creepy and weird, but his character is supposed to be viewed as a mysterious and handsome man. He is a quiet character in the movie, with a surprisingly big role in the end.
