Curtain rises on original caper
The Heist, a student-written and directed play about two gangsters trying to steal the same jewel as several other thieves, makes its world premier Thursday at 7:30 p.m. in the ACHS auditorium.
Director Tom Kenney describes the three-act play as “a suspenseful comedy” set in present-day America which has the twist of telling the story somewhat out of chronological order. It’s his first play, both as a writer and as a director.
The curtain rises on the 22-member cast each evening through Saturday at 7:30 p.m., with a 2:30 p.m. matinee on Sunday. Tickets are $4 for students, $5 general admission and can be purchased at the door.
