Fit for Life is a class designed with YOU in mind. The class concentrates on all aspects of personal fitness, nutrition, Yoga, and current wellness topics. This class allows students to improve their level of personal fitness and develop responsibility for their lifestyle choices. Each week, the activities consist of muscular strength and endurance exercises, flexibility, and cardio workouts.There is a strong emphasis on muscle identification and proper exercise technique.
Physical Fitness scores will be taken twice each semester, with students setting personal goals to improve. Nutritional goals will also be addressed.
Grading consists of participation in daily activities, fitness scores, and written work. Students will be asked to develop and implement a personal wellness plan. They will also have an opportunity to create and perform exercise routines with the class. |
