GENERAL REQUIREMENT FOR PE CLASSES:

Graduation requirements: 3 1/2 credits of PE, 1/2 credit of Health, 1/2 credit of Driver Education.

Students need to pass three and a half years of PE. Freshman Health is required one semester. These are state laws, as well as District 117 requirements.

All students are required to wear a school-issued PE uniform. The uniform consists of a t-shirt, shorts, socks, and athletic shoes. Sweatpants and a sweat shirt can be worn over the uniform on cool days.

A PE waiver may be granted to Junior or Senior in-season athletes and marching band members during the marching season. Students must satisfactorily complete all fitness tests before the waiver is granted. If interested, students should see their counselor for the application form and other instructions, prior to their season starting.
