each student receives a challenging curriculum within his or her abilities.
The curriculum serves as a basis for and a transition to future learning

Curriculum
Objectives:
- Offer
a comprehensive program that has challenging and appropriate courses
of study and co-curricular opportunities that enhance personal responsibility,
self-image, and social growth.
- Provide
a curriculum that is aligned with the Illinois Learning Standards.
- Create
a school climate that encourages attendance and enhances student achievement.
- Focus
on students in making decisions, and be sensitive to the taxpayers,
employees, parents and all members of District 117.
- Demonstrate
through objective measures that the District is being effective in educating
its students.
- Encourage
communication and cooperation between the school and community.
- Encourage
the use of technology in the instructional program and in the administration
of the District.
- Employ
a staff and administration that is committed to educational excellence.
- Conduct
a staff development program that encourages and rewards responsible
experimentation and creativity.
- Provide
financial resources for staff, facilities and equipment for a high quality
program.
