Portrait Information for 2011-12
 Student
portraits are taken initially in the summer (for seniors) and early in
the school year (for underclassmen). This provides ample time for families
to see the portraits and have retakes done, if necessary. It also insures
that the portraits will be taken in time to be included in the yearbook.
If
having the portrait done at school is not convenient for you, Root has
a studio at 1748 N. Milwaukee Ave. in Libertyville. Call 847-573-1648
to make an appointment before the end of October.
Two
types of portraits are taken, senior and underclass (freshmen, sophomores,
& juniors). This page will give you most of the information you'll
want to know regarding these pictures. If you have other questions regarding

The
Photography Studio
HR
Imaging (Halterman/Root
Studios) is Antioch High School’s official photographer. If you
should need to contact the studio directly, their number is 800-433-1766.
Portrait packages are mailed directly to the student's home. Your satisfaction
is guaranteed. If for any reason you are not satisfied with your portraits,
simply return the entire package within two weeks for a refund: HR Imaging
Partners, Inc. 4105 Progress Drive Ottawa, IL 61350. The customer service
number is 800-433-1766. Additional information regarding senior portraits
is at www.rootseniors.com. Please
note: only portraits taken by HR Imaging/Root Studios are used for the
ACHS yearbook.
Photography
Dates
For 2011-2012,
the following photography dates are scheduled:
- Seniors:
June 6-9, 13-15 (retakes: Oct. 25-28)
- Underclassmen:
Juniors - August 23; Sophomores - August 24; Freshmen - August 25 (retakes:
Oct. 24)
For portraits
to appear in the yearbook, students must be photographed by the last week of October.
Attire: the normal school dress code applies to school portraits.
Appointments
- Underclassmen:
No appointment is necessary. Students sit for a portrait in August during their
English classes. On the makeup day they must be photographed
during their free time.
- Seniors:
Summer appointments are scheduled by the studio and mailed to students
in May. In the fall, students sign up in the main office for an appointment
time that coincides with their free periods. Portraits can also be scheduled
and shot at Root's Libertyville studio, located at 1748 North Milwaukee
Ave.
Prices
All students
should be photographed for the yearbook; however, parents are under no
obligation to buy pictures. Prices are included in mailings sent to students' homes. Photos will arrive in six to eight weeks from when payment is made
(underclass: three to five weeks after being photographed).
Deadlines
To
be included in the yearbook, students must be photographed by the dates
listed above. While students can be photographed later in the year, such
photos may not arrive at school in time to be printed in the yearbook.

Q:
Can I submit a photo taken by someone else to be printed in the yearbook?
A: Only portraits taken by HR Imaging/Root Studios will appear in the
yearbook.
Q:
Do I have to buy pictures if I just want a yearbook photo taken?
A: No, you are not required to buy photos.
Q: Do
I have to be photographed at school?
A: Root has a studio in Libertyville at 1748 N. Milwaukee Ave. Call them

of October.
Q:
How can I get an order envelope for underclass portraits?
A: See Mr. Thompson, or stop by the photographer’s table on the day
of portraits.

Can I still order portraits if I forgot my money on picture day?
A: No. To order pictures, you must bring your completed order form when
you are photographed.
